HAVOC TOURNAMENT RULES:

• All teams are expected to wear numbered jerseys. No taped numbers will be allowed.

• First team listed will be the home team wearing light (white) jerseys and should sit to the left of the scorer’s table from center court.

• The Head Coach is responsible for attending to the medical needs of his/her athletes.

• The Head Coach is also responsible for the conduct of his/her coaches, players, and fans.

• Referees and the tournament director reserve the right to ask anyone to leave for improper behavior.

• NFHS Rules will apply to all games w/ the exception of game times (halves instead of quarters).

• Protests will NOT be accepted regarding officials judgment/calls.

• Score book will be kept at the score table. (Each team can check scores, fouls, time outs during halftime only).  The HOME team will keep the official book. Both teams may have their score keepers at table however.

• Please arrive at the gym ready to play 30 minutes before your scheduled time. The gym will open 30 minutes before the first game on Saturday. All games will start at their scheduled times unless agreed upon by both teams to start early, if possible.  Game time is game time, there will be NO GRACE PERIODS allowed.

• Playing time will consist of 14-minute halves with a 3 minute half-time period. The clock will stop on free throws, time outs and all whistles each half. Note: If games are running behind schedule, the site director can reduce half-time down to 1 minute to expedite the game.

• A full complement of timeouts per game (3 - full and 2 – 30 second). One additional time-out will be awarded for each overtime period.

• The first overtime will be two (2) minutes – stopped clock. The second overtime will be one (1) minute. In the event of a required third overtime, it will be played as a sudden death overtime. (First team to score wins...)

• Two (2) direct technical fouls during a game on any player, coach, or team representative will result in their disqualification for the next game of the tournament.

The Metrolina Havoc Basketball Club is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.

• The HOME team must provide the game ball.

Note: In the event of disqualification, tournament fees or any other fees will NOT be refunded! NO EXCEPTIONS!

·        20 Point Mercy Rule: If at any time during the 2nd HALF ONLY a team establishes a 20 point lead, the clock will continue to run with the exception of a time out being called. If the 20 point lead is reduced to less than 20 points, normal clock operation will resume. Note: The team that is winning by 20 points or more WILL NOT be allowed to press full court and must play defense inside the 3 point arc.  1st infraction will result in a warning and all other infractions after the initial warning will result in a administrative technical foul.
